Kapalbhati Pranayama

Kapalbhati Pranayama:

The skull which we call forehead in English and Bhati means “light”.
Kapalbhati is a special part of Pranayama-yoga. Kapalbhati has also been called a part of the Shatkarma by some knowledgeable Mahatma and Yogis of ancient times. Kundalini Shakti is also awakened by Kapalbhati. Kapalbhati Pranayama cleanses the nerves of the body and makes them perfectly healthy and cures diseases.
Kapalabhati is a simple pranayama. In this pranayama, the breath has to be exhaled rapidly. By doing this, the abdominal air exits rapidly through the nose.

Technique of Kapalbhati Pranayama:

  • Kapalbhati Pranayama is more beneficial if done in the morning in the day, before sunrise. The person who starts this pranayama practice can feel tired in two to three minutes. But after a week or two of practice, any normal person will be able to do Kapalbhati Pranayama for more than five consecutive minutes.
  • Kapalbhati Pranayama should always be done in a pure environment. There is more benefit to do this easy sitting in Padmasana.
  • Now to start the Kapalabhati Pranayama further, breathing has to be done inside the body at normal speed. And has to be pulled out at a fast speed. This entire process should be in a rhythm.
  • Drop the entire breath out of the nose once in every second, this will move the stomach inwards. In Kapalbhati, one has to try to release the breath fast once every second. After exhaling, do not hold the breath out and allow the breath to come in normally without trying. Exhale rapidly in every second. According to this, in one minute sixty times and in three minutes in total, you air three times.
  • In the beginning, if you are tired of exhaling breath sixty times in a minute, then exhale thirty to forty times in one minute and increase the pace to sixty breaths per minute with increasing practice.
  • If you practice Kapalbhati Pranayama properly for a long time, its duration can be increased from five minutes to fifteen minutes. That is, three steps of five minutes each.

Precautions of Kapalbhati Pranayama:
  • The patient of back pain should seek medical advice before cranial.

  • Problems can be aggravated when the patient of bile air is cranial. In summer, it is good to do two to three minutes of Kapalbhati.
  • Do not make a stressed person Kapalbhati. Only do this pranayama after calming the mind.
  • Kapalbhati Pranayama should not be done without clearing the stomach. Kapalbhati Pranayama can cause body damage even after a meal.
  • A person with high blood pressure disease should not do this exercise at high speed.
