Fish Pose – Matsyasana:

Matsya means fish. In this posture, the shape of the body becomes like a fish and hence is called matsyasana. In this posture position with Plavini Pranayama one can swim in water for a long time. Breathing first laxative, extracellular, then complementary and laxative.


Fish Pose – Matsyasana Techniques:

Sit on the ground lying on the pedestal and sit upright. Then keep the feet in the position of Padmasana and lie down carefully with the base of the hand backwards. Lift up the waist with a laxative. Keep the crest position of knee, buttock and forehead with the ground. Be sure to place a soft cloth under the crest.

Hold the thumb of the right foot with the left hand and the thumb of the left foot with the right hand. Place both elbows on the ground. Try to take the vision backwards towards the head by staying in the position of Kumbhak. Keep the teeth pressed and the mouth closed. Begin from one minute and increase the practice to five minutes.

Then, open your hands, sit on the waist and raise your head above the ground. Laxative by supplementing. Matsyasana can also be done by lying on the ground first and then applying Padmasana. Then keep the feet in the position of Padmasana and lie down carefully with the base of the hand backwards.

Matsyasana makes the whole body strong. All diseases of the throat, chest and stomach are removed. The light of the eyes increases. The throat remains clean. Respiratory function properly. The veins of the tendons turn upside down, thus developing chest and lungs. Stomach remains clean. The dirt of intestines is removed.

 The speed of blood transfusion increases. As a result, there are no skin diseases. Asthma and cough are relieved. The chest becomes wide. Abdominal fat is less.

With this posture, the motion of the downward age is downward, removing obstruction. Performing this asana by drinking some water helps in defecation. All the diseases related to menstruation are removed by Matsyasana. Menstruation becomes regular.
